Piercings

1 min read
You know about the people who go around and insult artists' piercings as "ugly"?

They're the annoying vegans of the art world.

Unless the piercing considerably detracts from the art, keep your anti-piercings opinions to yourself. I don't like Christianity so much, but I'm not going to comment that opinion on a piece of art that happens to have a tiny cross somewhere in the background.

If you say the art is good and furthermore have no critique to offer, then shut up. You're done.

Nude Art Coming

1 min read
I've been thinking about sharing some nude art lately. I've done the photo shoot and chose a few pieces that I liked but I've kept them on hold for a while so I can consider the decision and warm up to it. I'm a little apprehensive about close friends seeing it as well as horny douches who simply can't operate the layout of a porn site. I get it if people get tired of the vulgarity of porn and want something softer, but realize your comments don't always reflect that.

If I share these, and I expect I will eventually, just respect me and refrain from obviously inappropriate or highly questionable comments. You know, so I don't have to chew your ass up.

I know I can't stop certain people from viewing my stuff, but I give you this: If you keep up with my nude art so you can get a boner, know that I regard you with snide disdain.

Anyway, I expect I'll get more positive feedback anyway. With that, I'll be able to grow and improve upon my work.

Thanks to everyone who gave input on camera types and suggestions. I wanted to wait a while and let the information pile up so I could look at it all at once and take everything in consideration. I figured it'd be easier to respond in a journal as my hands are freezing and it'll be less typing for me in the long run, even if less personal. (Ugh, forgive me. Dang ol' Texas winter's seepin' in.)

So I think I've concluded that this is something I'm going to have to wait a while longer on. I need to compare and sleep on some camera choice before I decide and it seems that the ones that would be best for me are out of my budget. I'm on minimum wage so I'm thinking I'll end up saving up money over a period of time, and in that time I'll have plenty of decision-making room. Right now I think I'd really like to aim for a Canon since it's got so much good rep, but again, I'll look around. I'm definitely gonna take all the information you guys have given me into consideration.

Buuuugh, grown-up stuff takes grown-up time and grown-up-ness.

I'm thinking I may wait on college a little longer than I already have so as to save up money for fun AND important crap. Not sure I'm ready for all that hustle and bustle yet anyway. I just wanna chill on everything and indulge for a while longer. I've always been one to take life slow, cameras and responsibilities included. We'll see.

New Camera?

2 min read
Unnkay. So two or three months ago my camera broke and whatever I've been uploading since has been a bit oldish. I am pleased to announce that I FINALLY GOT A JOB at Michael's, the craft store. I've been having to do alllll sorts of grown-up stuff since then. Banking, job, money, etc. And with a job comes income, and with an income comes goodies. I plan to buy a new camera soon, a really good one. (Maybe not highest, godliest top-notch, but good.)

I stopped in Best Buy the other day and looked at some cameras. I found two I liked, but I want your opinion on the whole thing.

There is a $200 Canon PowerShot SX160 IS (Dunno what the hell all those letters mean but they must be important.)
- 16 megapixels
- 16 zoom
- "high speed auto focus"

Then there's the $200 Nikon Coolpix L810.
- 16 megapixels
- 26 zoom
- "in camera editing"

Iunno. I'd probably go with the Nikon, but I'd rather have some user opinions first.

Also, I won that cutest pet contest! Ooooof course, though, it was a gift card to a mall that isn't even around here, so I gave it to my mom after she started bitching about being owed half of it. But thank you guys so much anyway! I'm still happy I got it with your help.
